Lord heed our calls,
our urgent pleas,
to soothe a world
in dark unease.

We seek a place
of refuge near
to which Your hand
will guide and steer.

Though David fled
to wilderness,
You saved his life
and path did bless.

When he cried out
in great distress,
You answered him
in righteousness.

He bore a heart
filled with Your joy,
humble in thoughts —
a shepherd boy. Lord heed our calls,
our urgent pleas,
we raise to You
bowed, on our knees.
