In the silence of our souls,
when we meditate on Him,
may the Spirit that descends
bring a “mighty rushing wind” —
anointing us with power
to share His glorious name…
and the story of His Son,
who redeemed us when He came.

When we listen to His voice
and our troubled souls are still,
may He guide us on His path
and reveal His perfect will.

When the rages of the sea
toss our vessels in fierce storms,
may we listen for His voice
calming forces that He formed:
the wind, the sea, the thunder —
waves that roll from hull to mast —
quieting as He does bid
us to walk toward Him steadfast…
across blue, placid waters
gleaming bright with sun above;
yet we falter in our steps,
until steadied by His love.

In the silence of our walks
may we listen to the call
of a Shepherd’s voice bidding
us to cross waves standing tall —
anointed by His Spirit,
with courage despite high seas —
that we might proclaim to all
His revealed divinity!
